Objectives :

The research primarily focuses on analyzing the mechanisms controlling human T lymphoid ontogenesis and oncogenic transformation in immature T lymphoid malignancies, including T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias (T-ALL) and lymphomas (T-LBL).

Research Themes :

- T-ALL and T-LBL oncogenic transformation
- Characterization of malignant lymphoid cells at cellular and molecular levels
- Investigation of the relationship between oncogenic deregulation and physiological T lymphopoiesis
- Understanding the mechanisms regulating somatic rearrangements leading to T Cell Receptor (TCR) assembly
- Collaboration with clinical and fundamental research groups for optimal management of human tissue resources and their valorization
- Projects based on the principle that uncovering oncogenic pathways for treatment improvement requires a thorough understanding of the normal development of the system affected by disrupted tissue homeostasis
