Cookies policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This page explains which cookies and other trackers are used on calym.org, what they are used for, and how you can accept them, refuse them or change your choice at any time. It supplements our privacy policy.

1. Who is responsible?

The calym.org website is published by Association CALYM (Institut Carnot CALYM), a French non-profit association (loi 1901), SIREN 919 247 635, whose registered office is at 10 rue d’Oradour-sur-Glane, 75015 Paris, France.

For any question about cookies or your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO): dpo@calym.org.

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. More broadly, a “tracker” is any technology that reads or writes information on your device: cookies, browser local storage, pixels, etc. This policy covers all of these trackers.

3. Trackers used on calym.org

Only strictly necessary trackers are set without your agreement. All others are set only after you have given your consent, and only for the categories you have accepted.

3.1 Strictly necessary trackers (no consent required)

These are essential for the website to work or to remember your choices. They are exempt from consent under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).

3.2 Audience measurement (consent required)

With your agreement (“Statistics” category), we use Google Analytics 4 to produce visit statistics: pages viewed, visit duration, device and browser type, approximate geographic origin. We use these statistics solely to understand how the site is used and to improve it; we do not use them for advertising.

Until you accept this category, Google Analytics is not loaded and no Google cookie is set.

_gaGoogleDistinguishes visitors using a random identifier, for statistics13 months
<>GoogleKeeps track of the current visit13 months

The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Measurement data is kept for 14 months in Google Analytics and then deleted. Some data may be processed by Google LLC in the United States; this transfer is covered by the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), to which Google LLC has signed up.

3.3 YouTube videos (consent required)

The testimonial videos on this site are hosted on YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited. They are only loaded if you have accepted the “Marketing” category. When played, YouTube may set its own cookies (for example YSC or VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE), used in particular to measure video audiences and personalise the ads shown by YouTube. Association CALYM has no access to this data; its use is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

3.4 No advertising cookies of our own

Association CALYM does not set any advertising or targeting cookies on its own behalf and does not share your browsing data with advertising networks.

3.5 Detailed, up-to-date list

The site is scanned regularly by our consent management tool. The automatically generated list below shows every tracker detected, with its provider, purpose and duration:

4. Your consent

On your first visit, a banner lets you:

  • Allow all: you accept all the trackers described above;
  • Deny: only strictly necessary trackers are used. Refusing is as easy as accepting and has no effect on your access to the site;
  • Customise: you choose category by category.

Until you make a choice, no tracker requiring consent is set. Your choice, whether you accept or refuse, is kept for 6 months; you will then be asked again.

So that we can demonstrate that your consent was collected, our provider Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S, Denmark) keeps a record of your choice for 12 months: random consent ID, date and time, accepted categories, truncated IP address and page concerned.

5. Changing or withdrawing your consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the cookie settings icon at the bottom of every page, or the “Change your consent” and “Withdraw your consent” links in section 3.5 above.

Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. It does not automatically delete cookies already set: you can delete them in your browser settings.

6. Browser settings

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser (the “Privacy” or “Cookies” section of its settings). Note that blocking all cookies may prevent the site from remembering your choices, including a refusal.

7. Your rights

Information collected through trackers may be personal data. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and withdrawal of consent with regard to this data, as described in our privacy policy.

To exercise them, write to our DPO: dpo@calym.org, or by post: Association CALYM – For the attention of the Data Protection Officer – 10 rue d’Oradour-sur-Glane, 75015 Paris, France.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr – 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France), or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may change, in particular if a tool is added or removed or if regulations evolve. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. If a new tracker requiring consent is added, you will be asked for your agreement again.
